04 / Make every session count

A simple study sequence

Follow this order when you start a new topic. It helps turn reading into active learning and purposeful revision.

  1. Check the syllabusKnow what the exam expects you to cover.
  2. Learn the conceptStudy one topic carefully before moving on.
  3. Solve PYQsSee how the concept appears in actual exam papers.
  4. Practise questionsStart topic-wise, then build up to timed sets.
  5. Analyse mistakesRecord why an answer was wrong or took too long.
  6. Revise and retestReturn to weak topics after a gap and check improvement.

How to get more from a study page

Keep a notebook open with three headings: new learning, questions I could not answer and next actions. After reading, close the page and explain the main ideas from memory. For PYQs, attempt the question first, identify the syllabus point, then review why the other options are incorrect. Revisit difficult questions after a few days.

Choose free or premium resources thoughtfully

Free content should help you make genuine progress. Premium resources may add structured test series, revision packs, curated question sets or organised courses. Compare syllabus coverage, solution quality, access period and support before buying; no product can guarantee selection.

  • Does the content match the current syllabus?
  • Can I understand it without a lecture?
  • Are questions relevant to my target exam?
  • Can I revise the page quickly later?
  • Does it tell me what to study next?
Important: Exam notifications, eligibility, dates, vacancies and rules can change. Always confirm official details with the relevant examination authority.
