How to Analyse Practice Center Scores: Accuracy, Speed and Weak Areas

Practice Center Analysis: What to Do After You Finish a Test
Taking mock tests without analysing them wastes much of their value. The important work starts after submission, when you identify why marks were lost and what should change in the next study session.
1. Check accuracy
Separate correct, incorrect and unattempted questions. A high attempt count with many wrong answers may indicate that question selection needs improvement. A very low attempt count may indicate a speed or confidence problem.
2. Measure time by section
Record approximately how much time you spent on Quant, Reasoning and English. Compare the time with the number of questions attempted and the accuracy achieved. This helps identify sections that consume disproportionate time.
3. Create an error log
Use five practical labels: concept error, calculation error, reading error, memory/fact error and time-management error. Add the question topic next to each mistake.
4. Identify your top three weak areas
Do not try to fix everything simultaneously. Select the three areas responsible for the largest number of avoidable errors and give them focused practice before your next full mock.
5. Reattempt wrong questions
After revision, solve the questions again without looking at the solution. If you still cannot solve them, the underlying concept requires more work.
Use a simple performance dashboard
| Metric | What to track |
|---|---|
| Attempts | Total questions attempted |
| Accuracy | Correct รท attempted |
| Unattempted | Questions left due to time or uncertainty |
| Time | Time used by section |
| Errors | Errors grouped by cause |
Repeat the cycle
A useful cycle is Test โ Analyse โ Revise โ Practise โ Retest. Acadvik’s Practice Centers, Results and Test Series are designed around this preparation approach.
